Approach #1

• If error occurs while updating QuickBooks then you may try this remedy to overcome error 12007.
• Launch QuickBooks and then click on help and then on internet connection set up
• The box that opens should show that QuickBooks is configured to use the computer’s internet connection. If the button is checked then click on next and then done.

The error should go away.

Approach #2

If you are updating payroll service and theerror occurs then you can try this approach.

• Launch QuickBooks, click on help and then internet connection set up.
• Check that QuickBooks is configured to use computer’s internet setting and then click on advanced connection setting which will display internet properties window.
• Use SSL 2.0 and SSL 3.0 should be checked in the advanced tab window.
• Click on apply and then OK and then shut down and restart QuickBooks

Your issue should be resolved.

Approach #3

QuickBooks may not be able to find an IP address for which you need to do the following.

• Open Internet explorer and click on the Tools icon and choose internet options.
• Click on advanced tab
• Under settings look for the box against Use TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.2 and make sure they are not checked. If checked, uncheck them.
• Click on apply and then OK and close windows
• Navigate to the intuit site and to the update to latest release page. Select your version of QuickBooks, click on change and click on update. The update will download and then you double-click on the file to install it.
